Amador County Facts & FrictionThe People Need to Know
This site will serve to educate and inform the
good people of Amador County about the truth behind what
really happened behind the closure of the Amador County
Chamber of Commerce. You will learn about the false
accusation that have been levied at the Executive Director
of the Chamber of Commerce for
the sole purpose of preventing the Buena Vista Rancheria
Band of Me-Wuk Indians from exercising their
constitutional right to build & operate a casino.
The Chamber of Commerce would not discriminate against the tribe at
the demand of Supervisor Richard Forster and Jerry Cassesi,
president of the anti-casino group, Friends of Amador County.
Threats were made, and eventually carried out. Were there payouts?
Promises from government officials? Favors made? Who's paying for
all the lawsuits? Who doesn't want the casino? And to what extent
will they go?
